Schedule/Hours

  • Standard shifts; specific schedule provided upon assignment
Responsibilities
  • Deliver post-anesthesia care for pediatric patients (ages 0-17), both inpatient and outpatient
  • Manage telemetry monitoring, IV pumps, and medication dispensing (Alaris pumps, Omnicell, Philips monitors)
  • Respond effectively to various acuity levels; typical patient ratios are 1:1 or 1:2 based on patient needs
  • Occasionally provide care for adult patients as dictated by unit demand
  • Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team including transporters, PACU educators, and anesthesia providers
  • Utilize EPIC EMR for patient charting
  • Follow established protocols for medication infusions, including heparin and insulin drips
Qualifications
  • Active RN license
  • Minimum 1 year, preferably 2+ years, of pediatric critical care/peds PACU experience
  • Required certifications: BLS, PALS
  • Previous completion of at least one travel assignment
  • Demonstrated self-motivation, adaptability, and teamwork mindset
