Job Description

You will play a key role in achieving department sales and profit goals while ensuring quality assurance standards are met. As a leader, you'll manage staffing and scheduling needs effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill prescription needs with a focus on accuracy for every prescription filled.
  • Provide compassionate patient counseling and pharmaceutical care.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal pharmacy laws (including HIPAA).
  • Maintain professionalism through personal appearance, conduct, and the physical state of the pharmacy.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the trade area, its customers, and the competition.
  • Create a positive image for the pharmacy through exceptional service and teamwork.
  • Manage stock replenishment, inventory levels, and maintain record-keeping according to company policies.
  • Keep accurate records and secure all scheduled drugs (e.g., controlled substances).
  • Utilize accuracy tools effectively, ensuring the highest standards of prescription accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, presenting a tidy and professional environment to customers.
  • Handle product returns promptly and in accordance with company policy.
  • Ensure all pharmacy equipment remains operational and well-maintained.
  • Organize policy manuals and state laws, and ensure staff are knowledgeable of their usage.
  • Display required signage appropriately throughout the pharmacy.
  • Continuously broaden your pharmacy knowledge and skills.
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Minimum

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Current state pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Basic math skills (counting, addition, and subtraction).
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Desired

  • 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.
  • Proficiency in a second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing).
