GENERAL STATEMENT OF POSITION
Are you passionate about enhancing the lives of older adults? Join our compassionate team as a Part-Time Resident Support Specialist. Under general supervision, you will provide essential personal care and protection for residents in our assisted living community. Your positive attitude and dedication will help residents maximize their independence and participate fully in their daily lives.
As a key member of our team, you will work one-on-one with residents, assisting them with daily activities, scheduled programs, and incorporating the Best Friend program approach for those who face memory challenges. You will embody excellent customer service, engaging with residents and their families to ensure their satisfaction.
Schedule: Part-Time
Available shifts include AM (6:30 am - 2:30 pm) and PM (2:30 pm - 10:30 pm). Must be available at least 3 days a week.
Pay Range: $19.50 to $21 per hour, based on experience.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent;
- Vocational/Technical training in nursing, particularly with elderly and dementia care, is preferred.
Experience/Training:
- One year of experience working with elderly individuals requiring memory support or equivalent training and experience.
- Proficiency in computer use for inputting resident information.
- Preferred three years of clerical experience or similar training.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, desktop publishing, faxing, copying, and paper shredding, with at least one year of experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- CPR and First Aid certification are required.
