Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead IBM BAW Developer to join a dynamic banking project in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in IBM BAW/BPM platforms, strong Java and JavaScript skills, and a proven track record of leading process automation initiatives. This role demands strong leadership, mentoring abilities, and a passion for solving complex workflow challenges in a fast-paced hybrid environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the technical planning and requirements gathering phases of the project.
  • Architect, design, and implement business process workflows using IBM BAW/BPM (19.x, 18.5.x, and preferably 22+).
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and support teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust BPM solutions.
  • Ensure scalability, security, and maintainability of process automation applications.
  • Engage in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile ceremonies.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize workflow components and application integrations.
Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of IT experience with focus on enterprise software solutions.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with IBM BAW/BPM (Business Automation Workflow).
  • Strong proficiency in Java and JavaScript.
  • Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, DB2, or MS SQL Server.
  • Strong understanding of Process Modeling and IBM Playback Methodology.
  • Expertise in Coach Views, Client/Server-side coaches, and UCAs.
  • Familiarity with Advanced Integrations, IBM MQ Series, and Service Component Architecture.
  • Knowledge of other BPM tools (e.g., Activiti, jBPM, or Camunda) is a plus.
  • Experience in a DevOps environment and with Agile/Scrum methodology.
Preferred Skills:
  • Strong analytical and debugging/problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid grounding in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Experience in technical documentation and presentations.
