Work Schedule

  • Standard Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
  • Overtime: Occasional extended hours or overtime may be necessary to meet business demands and urgent deadlines.
  • Weekend: One - Two times Sunday per month will be a required workday.

FLSA: Non-Exempt, direct-hire, full-time

Overview:

A global freight forwarding and logistics company is seeking an experirnced Import and Export Operation Clark to join their team near Los Angeles International Airport. Under the import and export coordinator, the clerk assists with non-difficult tasks in collaboration with internal warehouse team. This role is 80% office-based, focusing on administrative and communication duties. However, responsibilities may expand into warehouse coordination as needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable supporting operations in both office and warehouse settings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

Coordinate and monitor daily air import/export operations and ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.

Communicate with overseas offices and internal teams via phone and email.

Prepare and review import-related documentation in compliance with regulations.

Track and update shipment status using internal systems and provide proactive updates to customers.

Participate in warehouse inventory counts (including cold storage environments)

Provide accurate freight quotes and resolve potential issues or delays in coordination with the team.

Maintain accurate records of shipment movements, deliveries, fees, and system updates.

Support and strengthen client relationships through professional and timely communication.

Stay current with logistics industry trends and suggest improvements for operational efficiency.

Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

General knowledge and experirnce in logistics, import/export regulations.

Strong communication skills with a customer-service mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams.

Good time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to drive a company vehicle when required (valid driver's license).

Basic computer skills, including email and data entry.
