Position: Business Development Executive - EventEQ | Pay Range: $88,060 - $106,097/year plus commission (Exempt)

We're seeking a driven Business Development Executive with a proven track record in sales or business development. In this role, you'll create and cultivate new business opportunities while fostering long-term client relationships to achieve revenue goals and drive EventEQ's growth in the local market.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Business Development Executive, you'll focus on expanding EventEQ's client base, managing a robust sales pipeline, and delivering measurable business growth.

Revenue Growth - Increase sales while maintaining profit margins by identifying, engaging, and developing new opportunities
Pipeline Management - Build and maintain a sales pipeline to achieve sales goals, sustain client relationships, and ensure satisfaction
CRM Management - Accurately track all sales activities, accounts, contacts, and opportunities within the EventEQ CRM
Collaboration - Partner with Account Executives and Account Representatives throughout the client engagement lifecycle
Opportunity Identification - Plan for business growth by identifying opportunities and pursuing them to successful closure
Market Awareness - Monitor competitor activity and provide timely feedback to internal teams
Community Engagement - Represent EventEQ through membership in local organizations and associations
Additional Duties - Support business development efforts as assigned

Skills and Competencies
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Expertise in lead generation, pipeline management, and opportunity analysis
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify growth opportunities
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with a hunter mentality
  • Ability to articulate technical and service-based solutions to clients
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 3+ years experience in sales or business development
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Experience in B2B or service-based industries preferred
Physical Demands & Working Conditions

This role involves office, warehouse, and on-site client interactions:
  • Office, warehouse, and event venue environments
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Travel up to 50%
